A Pink Set.

You might have seen this fabric combination in a previous post.

This is the Marlborough Bra by Orange Lingerie.
I've made this bra numerous times and I've tweaked the pattern a few times and now have a perfect fit. I absolutely love this bra and I get amazing "lift"!

I ordered this embroidered tulle from my supplier. I got a ton of it! What was I thinking?
After a search through my stash I came up with the makings of a new bra.

I found a lovely peach eyelet that I had purchased last year, not knowing at the time what I would make with it. I guess it just needed to age in my stash for a while.
I didn't have any pink or peach findings, so I used tan , ecru and white. I ended up not using the pink bra hooks as I didn't like them, so I used white instead.

I won't model this bra for you as it is very sheer and see through. I'm also shy. LOL
But here it is in all it's spendor.

The strap elastic is some that I got on sale at my local fabric store. It is very pretty but also very stiff and I am not crazy about the comfort of it while wearing the bra...I won't purchase this elastic again.

I also made a matching pyjama set using the same fabrics.

I lined the bridge of the bra with pink duoplex, a layer of the pink tulle from the lace and some of the embroidery from the lace for the front of the bridge.
I decided this bra didn't need a bow as the bridge turned out so pretty.

The cups and frame are lined with peach bra tulle and I enclosed all the seams to prevent fraying.

Here are some photos of the bra components during the construction process.

I used ecru channeling, tan and white elastics and white hooks & eyes.

An inside view of the completed bra....along with my matching pyjamas made from the same fabric combination.

The back band is pink Power Net from BraMaker's supply.

Another pretty to add to my growing collection! I just love wearing all these pretty undergarments.....These are "Not Your Grandmother's Underwear!"

Pretty in Pink....a.k.a....what shall I do with all this lace?

I ordered this pink lace from one of my suppliers as I wanted to make a bra and panties set. You can read more about that set here.

This photo shows my gathered supplies for a bra and panties.

This is a rigid  embroidered tulle.
There is very little give other than mechanical stretch on the crosswise grain.

I had a ton of this lace....well maybe a ton is an exaggeration, but I had lots of it.

I went to my stash to find co-ordinating fabric and supplies to go with the lace.

I found that peach eyelet I had purchase last year and it was a perfect match!
See.... having a stash is an awesome thing!

I decided I would like to make myself a pyjama set using this fabric and lace. See the finished set hanging on my bathroom door. The pants are not that short. LOL I had them pinned to the hanger for this picture.

I travel a lot with my job and spend lots of time in hotels.
I wanted something light weight, pretty and with good coverage.
No skimpy, see through night clothes for me when I am away from home!

I used Simplicity 1502.

I made View C top and View E bottoms.

This set went together very quickly and was a breeze to sew up. And I love the delicate look of this set.

I sewed up the medium size.
The only changes I made to the pattern was shortening the leg length to 28" inseam, I also straightened out the bottom hem profile on the bodice  as I wanted to showcase the embroidered scalloped edge of my lace.

For the lace overlay on the bodice front I first sewed my center front pleat, then just laid the embroidered tulle over my bodice front, basted around the edge, then stitched down the scalloped edge of the lace. So easy! The pattern instructions explain how to do this.

This fit pretty good, although next time I think I will shorten the pants about an inch---they are quite wearable but I think I would like the pyjama bottoms just an inch shorter.

Please excuse the bad "selfies". I didn't have anyone handy to take photos for me. But I think you can get a general idea of how this pattern turned out.

I would rate this pattern as "easy, beginner".

They are "uber" comfortable, light weight and very pretty. I am so happy with this set! I know I will be making this pattern again. I have this same eyelet in a few other colors as well.
